Kursk Life

hey guys! im in Kursk city right now!
this is my 9th day in Kursk edy.
so basically everything is ok,
so far so good, just that im trying my best to suit myself to the weather.
its autumn right now,
the lowest temperature is 0 degree while the highest is 10 degree.
kinda hard to survive here for ppl like me xD
but im ok la, will be fine and get used to it.

if u get a cut here, it can't be cured in a short time.
i have a cut on my finger.
a small one, i think it was 5 days ago since i cut myself accidentally.
the wound is still open and the skin doesn't close up together.
so the healing process is kinda slow over here unlike in malaysia.
so still Malaysia is still the best.
i miss my place and the warm temperature there.
miss the food the most!!!!!!
kinda hard to find a restaurant o coffee shop with a reasonable price.
a simple meal is ranged around 100 rubles - 200 rubles, which is around RM10-RM20.

well,
this is the 1st day i got my internet access in my hostel, so i gonna post some photos that i have taken.
so let the photos speak then =)

i came to KLIA all alone.
waited for long hours for my agent and my coursemates to arrive.
surprisingly 3 of my best buddies came by to say bye bye to me.
i was shocked when i saw them coz they took all the troubles to come to the airport to send me off. great buddies right? thanks guys!
i appreciate u all very much! xD

then, i reached Dubai for my transit.
i didn't take many pictures of Dubai airport coz i was too tired to walk edy.
its very uncomfortable to sit in the plane for long hours!
the flight from KL to Dubai took around 7 hours of time.

Emirates flight.
they serve nice food but the chair isn't comfortable at all.
feel so sick after sitting long on it.
good thing is that we've the chance to watch movie that we like.
there's a mini screen that allows us to watch movie, listen to songs and etc.

reached Moscow...
a 5 hours plus of journey from Dubai to Moscow.

briefing

Moscow airport.

we then took another 7 hours of journey in the bus to Kursk city,
which is 500km away from Moscow, the capital of Russia.
we reached Kursk in the midnight of 29 September.

the next day, we all walk to our uni for registration thingy.
it's a 15 minutes journey from our hostel to the uni.
its freaking cold out there.
i seriously damn hate this kind of cold temperature.

Kursk city.

Eropah supermarket, the nearest supermarket to our hostel.

Kursk State Medical University

me, sonia, fercila, doon

my room,
kinda messy right? haha...
i just finished tidying my room these few days. xD

zapizza is one of the fast food restaurant here,
like a combination of pizza hut and KFC in Malaysia.
this set costs about 160+ rubles, which is RM 16+
damn expensive right?

Kursk train station.
this is the station that we need to go if we wanna go to Moscow using train.

spaghetti!!!
basically eating cabbage for every dinner. =_________="

Hyperlinear supermarket.
its quite far away from our uni.
the Adidas shop here sells some cheap Adidas original stuff.
a good place to buy stuff.

chocolate cookies.
this packet costs about 30+ rubles. xD

hoho...
maggie mee for my lunch!!!
i should import more in from Malaysia!!!!

garage sales organised by the KSMU church team.
met lots of seniors.

wow...
this is my 1st coca-cola that i had in Kursk.
im a Cola freak!!!! xD

i had this food at Pushkin,
it costs about 140 rubles for this meal.
RM14 ah!!!!! T^T

i can see this machine everywhere =D

Pushkin supermarket.

ok! i went to this particular restaurant,
which owns by a Malaysian, a Miri guy.
he's in the 6th year.
im so impressed with him as he can open his own restaurant while studying medicine.
he's excellent in Russian language.
a good businessman + talented future doctor!
this meal costs me 220 rubles.
the rice is 20 rubles...
RM 22 for this meal.

this stall is available in central renak.
they are selling popia style of food which wraps with chicken, tomato, cabbage etc.
very delicious!
80 rubles each.

this is a common stall that you can see along Kursk city.
the stall sells many kinds of breads.
some are nice.
i tried their sausage bun, which is around 22 rubles.
not bad.
its a good thing to bite with if ur walking on the cold street.

this is my hostel.
im staying on the 9th floor.
the top floor

Student Hostel No.4

Manesh supermarket.

this is potato!
the plain potato costs 40 rubles.
then you can choose any topping that you like.
this whole potato and topping cost about 80-90 rubles

this is a set meal.
100 rubles.
see the soup, its kinda special. its like a soup with sardine smell.
i don't like russian salad coz they mix cucumber into it.
the taste doesn't match for me.

Russian dolls.

so basically that's all i have for this time.
i haven start my class yet.
so im so damn boring right now.
things are expensive here.
one small scoop of ice-cream costs 40-50 rubles.
so shocking ah!

well,
that's life!
we have to adapt to a new place once we're away form our comfort zone. =D
