Student of 56 years old?

"hello,is this chung wui? can you come to help me to teach a adult Malay this afternoon? i can't handle malay..."
Agnes ( the current principal of my centre ) called me this morning...

wow,
i was so shocked...
suddenly my tuition centre need me to go back because not enough of teacher...
since i was free in the afternoon,
so i went to teach today...

arrived there about 1.30 pm...
n Agnes was like very very exhausted because she teaches lots of students since the part-time teacher is not coming...
poor Agnes...

so she gave me all the materials i needed to teach her...
i glanced through the teaching materials n i was quite confident to myself that i can teach the adult...

so i left my things behind n chit-chat with Agnes for awhile...
n we shared lots of things together...

suddenly the door bell rang...
n a woman came in with her cute young daughter...
n the woman has a very familiar voice!
she's my former teacher-in-charge of Red Crescent at Kuching High,
Madam Tay Pui Hoon!
so great to see her again...
she's currently teaching at Maktab Perguruan Batu Lintang...
then had a nice talk with my teacher...

i waited n waited...
finally,
my adult student came...

wow...
she's so much elder than me!
she's 56 years old which is almost same age as my daddy!
she's a retired nurse who worked at United Kingdom for almost past 25 years...
and she found that Malay language is so much important in this country...
she's so determine to learn Malay even though people may think that it's too late for her?
NO!
it's never too late!
so impressed by her determine spirit!

ok...
so i started teaching...
n suddenly i came across words that i don't know how to translate into English...
n i was stuck there...
oh my god...
but finally solved!
haha...

she has a good memory where she can memorize a lot of things...
n she is so easy to teach because adult understand things more easily than young children...
taught her lots of new vocabularies...
n she even managed to try to write some sentences...

"wow,i finally know how to construct a simple malay sentence..."
she said happily to me...

n i m so proud of her where she really improve even though today is the 1st day i teach her!
keep it up!

she thanked me lots...
n i m very very happy to c her improving...
ya...
this is a greatest joy of a teacher i guess...
hahazz...

well...
this is the 1st time in my life teaching a adult who is so much elder than me!
good experience >.<

my adult student and me...

it's never too late to start studying now...
even though learning form someone younger than you...
determination is the most important character a student should have...
wish im as determine as my adult student...

keep it up onion >.<
